Get a receipt and don't trust these guys when they say "We'all handle it".
I truly wish I could give a minus star rating. This is how terrible this place is.
Cut my box down, taped it up, put on my pre-printed label and gave me a receipt! Friendly service. Great for drop and ship!
Had the original notice that was left on the door, gave it to the same jerk behind the counter. I get my package and am attempting to leave the store. Again, after I gave him the original receipt and he demands to see my ID.
If you are mean and rude to people they have a tendency not to want to do business with you.
This place has TERRIBLE service !!!!!!!!!!! Called to inquire about a mailbox as I am relocating to the area for work. Was immediately put on hold, for 16 minutes!!! Called back 3 times to only receive a busy signal. While I was on hold I had the opportunity to read all the negative reviews on this place. Someone should open a shipping store right next door that truly knows how to service business customers. Would be a gold mine!!!!!
Use the US Post office or FedEx. Do not give these people your business.
Apparently being a franchised store is an excuse for incompetence and poor customer service. Who would think a logistics company could lose track of a package between the counter and the back door?
Have to go back it to make a return because I I a PRE PAID shipping label.i just wanted an envelope so I can return it.
I don't write bad review because I believe for the most part people and business can have bad days. With this UPS store in Bentonville the service has been so bad and I've had so much wasted time and money my hope is by posting review it could help inform others and prevent their time and money from being wasted.
Before I can give it to him he SNATCHES the package out of my hands. Says I can't have it until I show ID.. I was fully prepared to show ID. I was not prepared to be treated as a criminal..
I dropped off an already labeled package during a busy time and was ensured that it would be "handled". Three days later the package is nowhere to be found and the employees at the store say they can't help me because it was a drop off and they are not a corporate store. I was told when a package is scanned it just let's the driver know how many to pick up. So the scan st the store simply creates a record of "plus one" nothing that actually tracks your package. Furthermore I was told that some drivers scan the packages and some just take them to a distribution center and they should get scanned there. Or at least that was the case "to his knowledge". How do you lose a 2 foot, 10 pound box?
It is unfortunate that this is the only UPS store in the area.
Another experience that topped it off. I brought them an electric bike that had been professional boxed by a bike shop. I needed sent to Dallas. I insured it for $4k which they gladly excepted. Unfortunately the box arrived open, upside down, and missing almost all the packaging. From the pictures my customer sent it appears the bike was removed and stuffed back in. There was a foot print on the side of the box. Naturally the customer refused shipment and back it went to the UPS store on J street. So I thought "well good thing I insured it" NOPE. UPS store's response "because we didn't box it the insurance is void". So why did you charge me to insure it? Why wouldn't you tell me that on the front end? When I asked how they were set up to box bikes he said they weren't and that they barely do one or two bikes a year.
Had a package that was not delivered . Notice on door said to pick up from this location. I go to pick it up and the guy behind the counter won't even look for the package! Said its on the truck and to wait until the next day. Next day no attempted delivery, nothing. Again, go to location to pick up package. Rude beyond belief.
NO UPS envelopes, but I can purchase packaging from them. Ummm...really? You seriously think I want to purchase ANYTHING from you?
One would think UPS would set higher standards to the people they franchise to.
Terrible customer service. They are not experts on shipping. Totally clueless with anything beyond a standard shipment. I had a large lithium battery being sent to a customer less than 100 miles away. I told them exactly what was inside and to do what it takes to get it there. After 3 WEEKS my customer called asking where his battery was. Turns out it had been returned to the UPS store due to "too many hazard sticker" on the box. Having it returned is one thing but never receiving a call was the problem. They told me they left a voice mail which was a lie. They then said that the only option was to pay again to resend it. Why would I pay to resend it if they couldn't do it the first time? Their answer was "they didn't know".
Through these last two ordeals the communication with the manager, Toby, has been far from acceptable. False information given, phone calls not returned, promises of a call within 24 hours turns into me calling him 3 days later. Just now I called asking for Toby (after not hearing back for almost a week) the guy says "yes he's here let me put you on hold" 7 minutes later I hang up, call back, and he says "oh Toby's not here, he'll be in later".
